Due to the huge success of the year 5/6 scratch club in term 2, Mr Hammond and the Digital Leaders are now running a scratch club, after school, for year 3/4.
If you are interested in computing and want to learn something new about Scratch then why not join the Scratch club. Who knows one day you may be one of our school Digital Leaders!

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS AND WELL DONE TO ALL OF THE DIGITAL LEADERS. THEY HELD A VERY SUCCESSFUL STAFF MEETING FOR ALL OF THE TEACHERS AT THE SCHOOL.
The Digital Leaders, spent an hour after school teaching the teachers of Oakham C of E all about Scratch. They explained how the Computing curriculum has changed, how to use Scratch and went and supported each and every teacher to succeed in producing an animation using a sprite and a background.
They even awarded Mrs Barr and Miss Partridge student of the session and gave them a 'homemade biscuit!'
Well done to Patrick, William, Lucy and James for being selected as this years Oakham C of E Digital Leaders. I am looking forward to our Digital Leader meetings, where we can all share our expertise and joy of computing and especially CODING!
Digital Leaders in action!
One of our Digital Leader, Patrick, was scooped up in Year 3/4 to share his expertise about Scratch. Well done Patrick for doing a great job and showing the children some of the skills you have learnt whilst using Scratch.
The Digital Leaders have also worked alongside year 5 and 6 to help and support the children to design a computer game using SCRATCH. The children in Year 5 and 6 have really appreciated the advice Patrick and William have given them to improve the computer games they have started to design.
