Forces Friends!

Our school is home to a proportion of service children, and we are proud of our links with the local regiments. Forces children have the opportunity to attend Forces Friends Club , where they are provided a calm, friendly environment in which to enhance their feelings of belongingness.  At the club, children have an opportunity to discuss the challenges they face with a parent in the forces. It is also a time to form friendships with other children who understand how hard it can be to move around from place to place and have a Mum or Dad who is often away. The club is run by staff members who also have links with the services and are thus well-placed to provide support for the children.

The Forces Friends get the chance to do exciting Art/Craft & Cookery activities as well as working  on special projects for our Forces Map. There are interactive games on the iPads, time fore 1:1 reading and a chance to have a snack and refuel after a long day at school.
