We are currently in the process of redesigning and updating our school's website and while we are going through this transitional phase please note that even though the information on this page is relevant, it is possible that a few details may be outdated.
In the meantime, the Class Pages section of this website will continue to be updated on a regular basis with home learning and other helpful resources.
If you have any queries/questions regarding any information on this website then please contact the school office via email or by phone (01572 722404) and they will be happy to assist you.
We thank you for your understanding and patience and we cannot wait to show off our fresh new look.
Oakham CofE Primary School and The Parks School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
This statement means that we have a Child Protection Safeguarding Policy and rigorous safeguarding procedures in place which all staff (including ancillary and supply staff, regular volunteers and Governors) must ensure that they are aware of and follow. Parents and carers are welcome to read the policy on request at the office or via the links on the website.
Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our children are discussed with parents/carers first unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child’s welfare.
Our Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL) are:
Mr S Cox - Executive Headteacher
Mrs A Barr - Deputy Headteacher
Miss K Smith - SENDCo
If you are concerned about a child’s welfare, please record your concern, and any observations or conversation heard, and report to a DSL as soon as possible the same day. Do NOT conduct your own investigation. Please refer to our Logging a concern traffic light system displayed around the school and via the link on the wesbite.
If your concerns relate to the actions or behaviour of a member of staff (which could suggest that she/he is a danger to children) then you should report this in the first instance to the Headteacher in confidence (or the Chair of Governors if the concern relates to the Headteacher) - who will consider what action to take.
